Seeing Ghosts

Saturday, just a little after sunset, my husband and I saw something cross the road and disappear. We both thought it looked sort of like a tall, slender man. But this man didn't move quite right. He sort of skittered across the road - and he didn't seem as substantial as a person.

It looked as though he went in the front door of a rather run down house. We were both struck by the fact that no light came out of the door and the building looks unoccupied. When we slowed down to look, we discovered that the "door" he appeared to go through is now boarded over. There is a fence on the side of the house, so it is also not possible that he ran to the side of the house as he would have had to leap over a tall fence which would at least slow him down. There was no sign of a person anywhere.
